World’s most pierced woman
World’s most pierced woman – When first accredited by a Guinness World Record official in 2000, Davidson had 462 piercings, with 192 in her face alone.
Now, nine years later, she has 6,005 including more than 1,500 that are “internal”.
However, despite her eye-watering record, Miss Davidson, born in Brazil, claims she doesn’t like being pierced, and suffers for her art.

Samim Anghaie, 59, is the Director of the Innovative Nuclear Space Power and Propulsion Institute at the University of Florida. His wife, 55-year-old Sousan Anghaie, is president of New Era Technology Inc. (NETECH) in Gainesville, Fla.
Authorities say Sousan Anghaie persuaded NASA to award her company “several fully funded contracts,” including nearly $600,000 to develop and study a uranium-related technology.
But, according to an affidavit unsealed today in federal court, the couple allegedly used most of that money to buy personal luxuries — including their $480,000 home in Gainesville, a 2007 BMW and a 2005 Toyota Sienna sports van.

Associated Content: A giant stingray, no a massive stingray, valiantly battled 13 men before succumbing to captivity. As it turns out, this giant stingray was going to have some baby stingrays; she was expecting.
Metro.co.uk reports in its article, “Giant stingray battles 13 men and loses,” that a fishing professional, Ian Welch, landed this stingray in Thailand.
Actually, it is unfair to give Mr. Welch all the credit. It took 13 men to get the stingray into the boat.

Pablo Amador was a “regular dad” who made music with his children and shared his gift teaching kids to play piano, a man known for a friendly wave and lending a hand to jump-start a car. And those who knew him say they can’t understand why he apparently shot and killed his two daughters, wife and then himself.
TV satellite trucks surrounded the gray-trimmed, white ranch home Wednesday as authorities carried out the family, whom police identified as Pablo Josue Amador, 53; his 45-year-old wife, Maria; and their youngest daughters, Prescilla and Rosa, 14 and 13.
A teenage son escaped the shootings uninjured, calling 911 at 5:58 a.m. as he fled the home, police said. Those who saw him regularly along the quiet, modest street of homes could only wonder what happened.

Tomorrow is February 24th, 2009. It is also a very special day of the year: It’s Mardi Gras (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mardi_Gras), or Fat Tuesday. What better place to spend the day than at Cleveland’s own Fat Fish Blue (fatfishblue.com). Tomorrow, Fat Fish Blue will be celebrating the only way they know how: By turning the restaurant/venue into a giant party. There will be food, fun, and music all day long.
The fun will start at 11:00am when the restaurant opens for the day. The restaurant will have their annual Mardi Gras Day buffet set up where you can enjoy Creole food, some of it is from the menu, and some is made special just for Fat Tuesday. The special items on the buffet include alligator. If you have yet to try the food at Fat Fish Blue, this is the perfect time to do so.
Did you know that King Cakes are a traditional Mardi Gras food? The cake’s origins can be traced back to the Feast of the Twelfth Night, which honored the three kings who were present at the birth of the baby Jesus.

Police found a missing 15-year-old Holyoke boy late last night in hotel room in Morgantown, W. Va., with his eighth-grade teacher.
The boy, a student at Maurice Donahue Elementary School, “was found to be OK,” said Holyoke Police Chief Anthony R. Scott. The teacher Lisa Lavoie, 24, was taken into custody by local police and will be charged with enticement of a child, which is a felony, Scott said.
The boy’s mother contacted the school on Feb. 13, saying she was concerned about the relationship her son had with Lavoie, a first-year teacher. Authorities were unable to question the first-year teacher because she had left for the day as the school went on a one-week break. The boy’s parents reported him missing Feb. 16.

At tonight’s Academy Awards, screenwriter Dustin Lance Black won the Oscar for Best Screenplay for “Milk,” the story of California’s first openly gay elected official, Harvey Milk. Black — who was wearing a White Knot for marriage equality — spoke about how Milk inspired him:
BLACK: When I was 13 years old, my beautiful mother and my father moved me from a conservative Mormon home in San Antonio, Texas, to California, and I heard the story of Harvey Milk. And it gave me hope. It gave me the hope to live my life; it gave me the hope that one day I could live my life openly as who I am and that maybe even I could fall in love and one day get married. […]
Most of all, if Harvey had not been taken from us 30 years ago, I think he’d want me to say to all of the gay and lesbian kids out there tonight who have been told they are less than by their churches, or by the government, or by their families, that you are beautiful, wonderful creatures of value. And that no matter what everyone tells you, God does love you, and that very soon, I promise you, you will have equal rights federally across this great nation of ours.
