Another action pack, crime and drama comes to us this week in 24 s07e19. Here’s the synopsis of the upcoming episode: “As the nation remains vulnerable, Jack Bauer endures the worsening pathogen pain. The FBI deals with recent deadly developments while matters involving key players takes this day into a unexpected direction.” 24 s07e19 will be aired this April 20, 2009. So by now you’re still probably recovering from one of the biggest twists in the history of 24. And the echo of the collective “WTF” still resonates as viewers watched Tony Almeida suffocate federal agent Larry Moss. And with only 6 episodes left, none of us have a damn clue where the writers are going with this season of 24.

But kudos to those same writers for their well done return of Kim Bauer. I think everyone was worried about her return being yet another distraction, but it was a surprisingly poignant moment. The show is definitely missing characters that have history and Kim is one of the characters in the 24 universe that ties Jack back to the sane person he once was.

But, back to the shocker. Almeida fans across the world have had the carpet yanked out from underneath. There’s no coming back from this one – unless the writers have a damn good “greater good” explanation for having him taking out a federal agent. Is Tony one of the cogs in the system that Jonas mentioned? Does he have his own agenda? Is there a bigger bad guy out there that he works for. We’re close to the finish line and I don’t think I’ve ever been more clueless as to what’s going to happen this late in the season.

Here’s a look at next week’s episode; it looks like Renee will be in some trouble and Jack is back in action, presumably going through the experimental with Kim.
