Murphy to play in regional
Lincoln golfer Aaron Murphy has earned a spot in the NCAA Division II South Central/Midwest Regional that will be held May 4-6.
Murphy earned one of four spots for individuals from the South Central Region, and another four individuals from the Midwest Region will compete.
The individuals will be joined by 10 teams from each of the regions, and one of the teams qualifying from the South Central Region is the University of Central Missouri. Playing for the Mules are two former area golfers, Matt Miller (Eldon High School) and Justin Yoder (Versailles High School).
The event will be held at the Meadows Golf Club in Allendale, Mich. The top five teams and top two individuals not on an advancing team will advance to the Division II national tournament that will be held May 19-22 at Loomis Trail Golf Club in Blaine, Wash.
