Jon Gruden to Join Monday Night Football Crew
Former Tampa Bay Buccaneers SuperBowl-winning coach, Jon Gruden, has recently signed on to be part of the hosting team for Monday Night Football. Though he got the axe from the Bucs, the folks behind Monay Night Football saw enough talent and popularity in him to bring him on board. In turn, they got rid of Tony Kornheiser, who Gruden will replace.
Monday Night Football will be entering its 40th season this fall, which is when Gruden will get his start. He’ll be joining Mike Tirico and Ron Jaworski. Hi official Monday Night Football Debut will be a preseaon game on August 13th, when the Pittsburgh Steelers host the Arizona Cardinals.
It’s highly debated as to whether Gruden will be able to stick around Monday Night Football or whether his love for coaching will win over. Gruden said that even he isn’t sure how long he’ll be able to stay out of the game, but noted that he’s excited to be part of the game from a different perspective.
