Regarding Jamie's comments about Membership shopping: I'm not sure what "membership model" you're using, but unless you were actually allowed to use the services during that period of time, you should not be expected to pay for it. You imply that Costco keeps providing the membership benefits during the months you don't pay (like the electric company), but my experience is they won't let you buy anything unless you renew. Don't get me wrong... I love Costco. But that was one thing they did that just didn't make sense. As for "generosity", many of Costco's members pay more in membership dues than they will ever save (myself included, mainly because I just like that it's there). I would say that these customers are the generous ones, and they are the ones most affected by this suit.

How ironic. The chairman of Costco is a big time liberal who was a big supporter of Kerry and Obama and now he gets kicked in the nuts for 5 million by a bottom feeding scum-bag trail lawyer who's ilk are perpetuated by the likes of Obama and his fellow leftist.

Costco offers membership shopping. This is a continuous event. They have the right to cancel your membership for non-payment, but allow you to pay late and continue. Just because you didn't use the service between aug and dec, doesn't mean it was unavailable to you. Do you expect your electric company to stop the charges and give you a break if you pay your invoice late? Do you belong to a health club? Do they allow you use of the equipment if you have not paid your monthly fees? No. So why should Costco be different? Taking advantage of someone else's generosity and then complaining about it, is childish in the extreme. Grow up, pay your bills or give up the membership. It obviously isn't important .
