Smashbox photo finish foundation primer spf 15 with dermaxyl complex

Smashbox’s Photo Finish Foundation Primer, that comes in like a buncha different varieties: Color Correcting, Light, SPF 15 w/ Dermaxyl Complex and Bronzing. I personally have never tried it. The new Smashbox Photo Finish Lid Primer ($20) creates the perfect canvas for eyeshadow application. Wear this universal shade under shadow to increase longevity, or create the perfect nude eye by applying over the lid for an even tone. The exclusive formula contains Phytomoist, a plant-based hyaluronic acid for ultimate moisturization and amino acids for skin-smoothing benefits. Soft focus pearls help diminish the appearance of fine lines on the lids while the patented Qusome® delivery system ensures all ingredients penetrate the skin to deliver effective results.

A few months ago I was flipping through a magazine and saw an ad for a new primer by the Smashbox company. It was called the Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer with Dermaxyl Complex. The ad claimed that the only difference between it and the original primer was that it contained a UVA/UVB SPF 15, and the dermaxyl complex had anti-aging benefits, but they both had vitamins A & E to help fill in fine lines and wrinkles for smoother and longer-lasting makeup.

Even though I’m in my early twenties and don’t have many wrinkles yet I’m all for better looking skin and longer lasting makeup so I decided to buy a bottle of the primer to see if it was worth all of the hype.

I applied the primer the next day after washing and moisturizing my skin. I used a tiny dab and the primer felt like a thin drop of Vaseline in my hands. But after I applied it to my face it didn’t feel greasy at all, it actually felt very silky and powdery on.
