Three years after they were released to the public, photos of the abuse of detainees at Abu Ghraib are sending ripples through the media again. Some sites out there are claiming that these are “new” photos being released, but that’s simply not the case; they’ve likely been misinformed or don’t know the full story.

For lean mice – and possibly for lean humans, the authors of a new study predict – the anti-aging strategy known as caloric restriction may be a pointless, frustrating and even dangerous exercise.

“Today there are a lot of very healthy people who look like skeletons because they bought into this,” said Raj Sohal, professor at the University of Southern California’s School of Pharmacy.

WXDX-FM (105.9 the X) and the Pittsburgh Penguins are announcing they have agreed on a contract extension for the X to broadcast all Penguins games on the radio. The extension which takes effect in the Fall of 2009 is for 6 years and will take 105.9 the X into the new “Consol Energy Center.”

WXDX has carried Penguins hockey for the last 3-years and has enjoyed the benefits of the partnership including last year’s exciting “Stanley Cup” run.
